The “suh dude” term was then remixed into a song, of course. If you think the fad has stopped there, you are hopelessly incorrect. The viral spread of this original concept of “suh” dude has now seemed to creep its way into the slang vocabulary of many young individuals on social media. It is no surprise that this video then went viral, reaching well over 8 million views. These videos were then edited together in one video that Tanner Petulla then put on his Facebook page. The two new internet celebrities then went on to post many more individual vines with the exact same concept in November 2015. The original video is now sitting at over 2 000 000 loops, 53 000 likes, 4000 comments and 24 000 revines. This 6 second video that is now a popular internet trend consists of Nick Colletti saying “ayy dude” then Tanner Petulla replying with “suh dude”. On the 23rd of March 2015, Nick Colletti, a famous ‘Viner’ and online comedian, uploaded a vine (short 6 second video) where he is on the phone with his friend (and dubstep producer) Tanner Petulla. The word “suh” has made its way into the slang vocabulary in the last year among many urban youth who seem to catch on to internet fads relatively quickly. And just in case you thought the term couldn’t get more simplified, it has. As time went by and the urban youth of today gradually decided that it takes too much effort to say those three simple words, the term “sup?” became very popular. The slang term “what’s up?” has been embedded in the English language for quite some time now to mean “what’s going on?” or “what are you doing?”.
